the Pope want to say
the Pope says:
"become capable of that genuine dialogue of cultures and religions"
and he is saying this to Secularists;-)
Secularists are not interested to "genuine dialogue of cultures and
religions" that would be the end of Secularist dominance. Secularists
believe that Secularism is _the religion_ everyone Christians, Jews,
Muslims and the rest should be assimilated to, if necessary using
power, or diminishing them by making them fight with each other. The
religion of Secularism is based on positivism and _salvare apparentias_
way of gaining knowledge and being engaged in sciences, they are not
worried about "truth and reality" as the Pope preaches, especially
Christian religions truth and reality. The Pope is inviting Secularists
to give up Secularism and hand over the assumed power to the Church,
this Pope is dreaming;-)
What the Pope should do is to extend his hand to Muslims to deal with
the bewitchment sustained by Secularists to keep themselves in
dominance. The Pope should realize by now that Christians cannot deal
with Secularists alone. They need help. The Pope should also realize
that if Christians really become a problem for Secularists in their
dominance then Secularists are canning enough to get Christians engaged
with fighting with Muslims, therefore he and his team should never pave
grounds for Secularists to do that. Christians/Jews/Muslims need each
other to deal with Secularist menace to prepare a "genuine dialogue of
their cultures and religions" among them. Otherwise Secularists keep
ruling them guiding to the doom altogether. The Pope doesn't want this
and Christians don't want this.
I've read the text of Pope's talk. Pope with his billions of dollars
budget and a team of supposed to be experts in every other subject
produced a bad text full of expressions which shows ignorance of all
his team. Pope's performance is just a by product of his team. If I
were in his place I would fire all those supposed to be experts to put
himself into this ridiculous situation.
If you read popes text, you will observe that it confuses philosophy,
theology, science, mathematics. The text is a collection of confusions.
His team ignores Ibn Rushd on religion and knowledge and picks a
marginal guy to beat around, doing that his team is also dishonest.
Listen what he says:
"Only thus do we become capable of that genuine dialogue of cultures
and religions so urgently needed today. In the Western world it is
widely held that only positivistic reason and the forms of philosophy
based on it are universally valid. Yet the world's profoundly religious
cultures see this exclusion of the divine from the universality of
reason as an attack on their most profound convictions. A reason which
is deaf to the divine and which relegates religion into the realm of
subcultures is incapable of entering into the dialogue of cultures"
didn't Ibn Rushd wrote books about this subject hundreds of years ago,
isn't Pope's team of experts aware of those works, if they are not they
should be fired, if they are then they should still be fired.
here another cheap shot from the expert team of the Pope:
"This gives rise to positions which clearly approach those of Ibn Hazn
and might even lead to the image of a capricious God, who is not even
bound to truth and goodness. God's transcendence and otherness are so
exalted that our reason, our sense of the true and good, are no longer
an authentic mirror of God, whose deepest possibilities remain
eternally unattainable and hidden behind his actual decisions. As
opposed to this, the faith of the Church has always insisted that
between God and us, between his eternal Creator Spirit and our created
reason there exists a real analogy, in which - as the Fourth Lateran
Council in 1215 stated - unlikeness remains infinitely greater than
likeness, yet not to the point of abolishing analogy and its language.
God does not become more divine when we push him away from us in a
sheer, impenetrable voluntarism; rather, the truly divine God is the
God who has revealed himself as logos and, as logos, has acted and
continues to act lovingly on our behalf. Certainly, love, as Saint Paul
says, "transcends" knowledge and is thereby capable of perceiving more
than thought alone (cf. Eph 3:19); nonetheless it continues to be love
of the God who is Logos. "
who is Ibn Hazn, what is his influnce to the mainstream muslims?
why to judge the Book of the God according to the commentaries of Ibn
Hazn?
Don't the Popes experts know how to read the Book of the God
highlighting the the concepts in question such as "will=shae,
intellect=akl, religion=deen, knowledge=ilm"?
If they don't they should be fired and people who knows how to read
should be hired, the Pope owes that much service at least to the
Christians who pay him and his stupid team generously, keeping him in
the golden cage to sing the truth but the truth.
For me this Pope with his such stupid team of experts had already
annihilated himself in this age of communication. I don't think anyone
should kill him and his team for their pathetic performance, I think
Christians should just dismiss them and hire people who do the job
properly in the name of truth.
> Just over a thousand years ago another pope called for a holy war
> against Islam and we suffered hundreds of years of murder and rape by
> those sent by the popes of Rome.
BTW, the Pope doesn't call for a holy war, hear what he says rather
than hearing Satan's whispers:
"Only thus do we become capable of that genuine dialogue of cultures
and religions so urgently needed today. In the Western world it is
widely held that only positivistic reason and the forms of philosophy
based on it are universally valid."
---------------------------------
In summary what the Pope want to say is this:
"scientific and knowledge seeking institutions of the West is completely
isolated from the reality, they have no worries to seek reality, that
is a dangerous trend, they should be based on the reality of religion.
Only then we can develop communication tools to interact with other
cultures. While the West is not aware of this fact, Islam is already
aware of it and it has an advantage to the West."
The Pope tries to say this, but with a very bad language.
